First Gas From Iguana Field Off Trinidad's West Coast
DeNovo Energy Limited (DeNovo), T&T's 5th natural gas producer, has announced production of its first commercial supply of natural gas from the Iguana field in Block 1(a).
The Iguana field was first discovered in 1982, but remained undeveloped for over 34 years until DeNovo became the operator in 2016.
Denovo confirms the fast-track field development was executed in under three years with over 73% local content from over 2.6 million man-hours with zero Loss Time Incidents (LTIs).
Iguana was the first West Coast natural gas field to be developed in Trinidad and Tobago, and the first offshore gas development to be completed utilising a local jack up rig.
DeNovo will deliver 80 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD) from the Iguana field for use by the petrochemical plants on...

Reviving old gas fields to help secure Trinidad and Tobago’s energy future
“T&T’s oil and gas is not about to run out,” says bpTT Drilling Engineer Neil Ramkhalawan.
The remaining oil and gas in T&T today lies deep beneath the seabed, often requiring Neil to drill wells of up to 18,000 feet to recover it. The added depth and pressure impacts drilling which makes it more challenging. However, with BP Well Advisor flagship technology, Neil can monitor the drilling of new wells in real time. This is just some of the ways that bpTT is using world class technology to recover more energy resources.

Part 2 of this epic adventure has some amazing catches using hand lines in 500 feet of water. It was truly an incredible experience.
After about an hour and a half of extreme Tuna fishing fun...The bite finally slowed and we decided to try dropping down a bottom line...520 FEET down!...
Although the conditions were terrible for attempting this type of fishing, we gave it a go and had some success.
After a couple drops, the current picked up and our line, even with an 8 pound sinker, was not reaching the bottom to the fish...So we made a quick troll and found the Tuna again.
